Where Are We?

The Creative Molding Company
is a small New Zealand based company.
For anybody who does not know where New Zealand is -
you head into the Pacific Ocean, keep going past Australia and
(to the right and down a bit!) are the two islands of New Zealand.

We have a population of about 3 million people.
In general we are known as Kiwis - (our national symbol a small
flightless bird called a kiwi!) and are most famous for our
rugby football (played by the All Blacks),
our adventurers - such as Sir Edmund Hilary (conqueror of Everest)
and our actors -such as Sam Neill and Lucy Lawless.
New Zealand is also the home of Hercules and Xena -the Warrior Princess !

Being in this part of the world has meant that we often have to do things a bit differently and in some cases have been forced to come up with new ideas and ways of doing things.

It is from this sense of innovation that
The Creative Molding Company was born

What Do We Do

We make moldings.
That's it!

But as you have seen from this site we do things a little differently.

We discovered that the moldings that were available
had too many limitations.

So we started on a process of experimentation to develop
a product that would perform the same way as
the non-flexible moldings available but would be easy to use.

For the last 5 years we have been experimenting and checking our product.
Our flexible moldings have been put through rigorous testing
to ensure that they will perform as promised - consistently!

Blowing our Own Horn!

Our flexible moldings have been used in many applications -
to decorate boxes and frames for gifts and for many craft applications.
But they have also been used for interior design -
for changing plain doors to ornate, as dado and picture rails.

They have been used in conjunction with stencilling.

Used to create ornate picture frames, to decorate chests of drawers,
chairs and tables, to 'traditionalise' plain fire surrounds and mantlepieces.

They have been used in bedrooms, nurseries, kitchens and bathrooms.

And in each case the comments we have received are
how easy they are to use and how effective they are!

Our Commitment

We are very proud of our product and guarantee satisfaction in quality and performance.
As we said we have rigorously tested our product.
But even the best of us can make mistakes!

So if our product does not perform as you expect we want to hear about it!
We will then do everything we can to find out what went wrong - and fix it!
We want to ensure that you are happy with our product.

We are also interested in hearing from you if you have discovered
a new and interesting way of using our product.

For the Curious!

We have created the frame on our home page
using only 5 molding designs.

The numbers are -
2201, 2209, 2202, 2104 and 0601.

The frame has ablack base-coat
and was then gilded.

Using the flexibility of the moldings we
have fixed the ends of the 2104 and 0601
under the other pieces and simply glued
the others on top of them!

Simple!
